I seek to help people manage the challenges they are facing and make real changes in their lives. In our work together, we will set goals, build a deeper understanding of maladaptive patterns, and learn more ways to manage the stress in your life.
My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and parenting. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I offer individual, couples, and family therapy to adults and children of all ages.
In addition to clinical therapy, I also offer relationship and personal growth coaching for individuals and couples seeking clarity, skill-building, and structured guidance outside of a clinical treatment setting. Whether through therapy or coaching, my work is grounded in evidence-based psychology and collaborative partnership. Services are tailored to your needs and provided in accordance with applicable licensure guidelines.
I graduated from Columbia University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and trained at NYU Child Study Center, Columbia University Medical Center and New York State Psychiatric Institute. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at NY Presbyterian, where I gained further expertise in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of depression and anxiety.
I strive to maintain a warm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental stance in my work. I believe strongly in the collaborative process and work actively alongside my clients to help them move toward clarity, resilience, and healthier relational patterns.
As a Muslim woman, mother, and psychologist, I understand how culture, faith, and identity shape the way we experience relationships, stress, and personal growth. I hold deep respect for each client’s values, and when desired, I thoughtfully integrate cultural and spiritual perspectives into our work in a way that aligns with your beliefs and goals.
I am happy to speak with you about any questions or concerns you may have as you consider beginning therapy or coaching.
