DBT Skills Group

In this group, DBT skills are taught in a weekly group format.  Group members must be in individual therapy, either with myself or with another treatment provider, in order to be enrolled in the group.  Skills are divided between four modules: (1) Core Mindfulness Skills, (2) Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills, (3) Emotion Regulation Skills, and (4) Distress Tolerance Skills. The goal of skills training is to learn and master skills necessary to change maladaptive patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving in an effort to reduce emotional distress and pain.
