Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured psychotherapy that has been found to be effective in individuals who have difficulty managing their emotions. DBT targets a wide array of symptoms, including self-injury, impulsivity, unstable relationships, difficulty managing anger, suicidal thoughts, and interpersonal conflict.
In DBT, we work together to help you accept your experiences in a non-judgmental manner, reduce current maladaptive coping patterns, and learn ways to better manage your emotions. This is done in weekly psychotherapy sessions, weekly DBT skills training groups, and phone consultations.
