Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a collaborative, solutions-oriented psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be highly effective for the treatment of anxiety and depression in all age groups.  CBT highlights that our our beliefs, interpretations, and perceptions of life events shape our feelings and behaviors.  In session, you and I will work actively together to identify and change problematic thoughts and behaviors in order to reduce anxiety and improve your mood.  I often assign between-session homework assignments to help generalize skills acquired in session.
