How Therapy Works

Our work together will be a collaborative process during which we will first identify maladaptive patterns in your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We will then learn ways to break these patterns by acquiring coping skills that encourage emotional growth.

Therapy sessions typically last for 45 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged when appropriate.  I strive to maintain a warm and non-judgmental stance in therapy.  I believe strongly in working together and I will work actively with you to help achieve your therapeutic goals.  I am happy to speak with you about any questions or concerns you may have about beginning therapy.
